About the Project
In 2025, I led the design of a new mobile experience for a previously desktop-first e-shop.
In a design lead role, I mentored two other designers, ensuring consistent use of components following the atomic design methodology, as well as a unified approach and design language across the product.
The mobile experience required a complete rethink of how certain features should be implemented compared to desktop, adapting them into simpler and more intuitive flows.
At the start, the visual direction was not yet defined, so I set up a flexible design system with a basic mobile component structure and variables for spacing and corner radii. This approach allowed us to design and assemble screens early while keeping the system adaptable. Later, as the visual style became clearer, I was able to refine the system and seamlessly update all existing screens just by tweaking the variables, without rebuilding flows, ensuring both consistency and efficiency across the project.
